Teachers and school administrators enrolled in the program are given Classroom Rewards from parents or supporters in the Staples Connect app. Parents and supporters can find their teacher or school by searching for the school. The results will show the school and any teachers that have enrolled in the program that are associated with that school.
Classroom Rewards received are listed under activity on the Classroom Rewards screen in the mobile app. The value is loaded to a virtual promo card in $5 increments. When the teacher or school administrator is paying at the in-store register, they will show the cashier their virtual promo card from the app on their mobile device and present a photo identification. The name on the virtual promo card must match the name on the photo ID presented.
In the Staples Connect app, navigate to the Classroom Rewards tab at the bottom of the screen. Available Classroom Rewards will display at the top of the screen along with a button to pay which will navigate to the virtual promo card. You can also turn your phone sideways in any screen and your promo card will appear. When using Classroom Rewards to make an in-store purchase, any remaining balance must be paid for with a second form of payment.
Earned Classroom Rewards that are available to donate to a teacher or school expire after 90 days of inactivity (no donation or new earning). For teachers and school administrators, the value on virtual promo cards expires 180 days from the most recent contribution.
Schools listed as a Google location under the education category are automatically eligible to receive Classroom Rewards. Teachers must be enrolled in Classroom Rewards through the Staples Connect app in order to earn and receive Classroom Rewards.

Teachers and schools can receive up to $1,000 every 180 days in Classroom Rewards from contributions made to themselves or from parents or supporters who are enrolled in the program.

There are three ways of finding your Staples Rewards number:
No, only one rewards number can be associated with an account on our app. If you have any issues linking your rewards please contact our customer service team.
1. Login to the Staples Connect App
2. Navigate to the Wallet tab (bottom right corner of the App)
a. Note: Linking does not work in the profile tab; you must go to the Wallet.
3. The “Welcome to Staples Rewards” message will appear – previously linked accounts will see the Staples Rewards card at the top of the Wallet in place
of the welcome message, in this case the linking is complete! For those that are not linked:
a. If you do not have a Staples Rewards account, tap to “Join Staples Rewards,” and follow the prompts.
b. If you already have a Staples Rewards account, tap the blue link to “Sign in now". Enter your Staples Rewards number or your email associated with your Staples Rewards, then follow the prompts to validate.
4. Success! Your Staples Rewards number will now be visible at the top of the Wallet.
Exclusions vary by coupon and are listed in the App with each Digital Coupon under the barcode as Terms of Use.
Yes! One thing to note is that if you have a purchase of $43 and uses both a $10 off $40 and a $5 Rewards check, the register will view the $10 off $40 as the better deal and only discount $10 off the purchase. However, if you have a purchase higher than $45 and uses both, then both would be eligible, for a total discount of $15.
